A couple quick tricks for SEO that you’re going to want to remember:
1. Front load your keyword in your meta title. Something in the algorithm gives more weight to the terms at the front of meta titles.
2. Use an exact match domain when you can. I don’t care what Google says - they work and they work well.
3. Make sure the H1 tag on your landing pages includes your keyword. Far too often I see people have their phone numbers or booking info as their H1. Of course you need that on your page, but make sure that’s not your H1 tag. Don’t confuse Google.
4. When creating a URL, ask yourself “if Google only had this URL for information, would they know what the page is about?” In other words don’t have “/richmond” as your URL slug. Make it “/richmond-hvac”
5. Old domains rank better. If you have a site you know you’ll use in the future, but aren’t yet, at least get a basic landing page up so the clock starts ticking.
6. Don’t undervalue internal links. They can be game changing for indexing and passing authority.
7. Remember that link building is the 80/20 of SEO. When in doubt, build links (but make sure you know what you’re doing first!)

6. Mouseflow - UX optimization
7. Google SERPs - Finding content angles + CTR estimates
8. SEO Testing - Split testing SEO content

If I woke up with 0 followers tomorrow, I would do this to reach 10,000 followers by the end of the year.
Now, keep in mind I’ve been doing this for a while, so I have a good understanding of what works.
Just look at my follower count by network…
X - 461k
YouTube - 1.25m
Facebook - 1m
Instagram - 519k
TikTok - 187k
LinkedIn - 596k
Now, if I had to get to 10,000 followers, there is one important thing to remember.
All social networks care for is engagement.
It doesn’t matter how many followers you have; they care about what percent of people who see your content engage with it.
Engagement is typically measured by likes, shares, saves, comments, and clicks.
Here’s how to create engagement:
1. Start creating series.
A great example of this is workout videos.
If you create a 5 part series on building a six-pack, you now have people watching 3, 4, or 5 of your videos instead of 1.
This sends signals to social networks that your content is engaging.
2. Post lo-fi content.
When we examined 3000 business profiles on the social web, lo-fi content generated 34.04% more likes and 18.52% more comments.
Lo-fi content is just content shot with your phone.
People don’t want fancy editing… they want real, authentic videos.
3. Post content with a contrarian viewpoint.
When we analyzed 100,000 social media posts, we found that content with a contrarian viewpoint got 31.94% more engagement.
Just think about what most people believe to be true, but you know it isn’t.
