@MPrams@BillSimmons there isn’t a single decent basketball analyst (besides the king of hyperbole bill simmons) that would say josh hart is better than cj mccollum. y’all nuts
@MPrams@BillSimmons yes, as of today CJ clearly is the better player. there literally is no argument you can make other than a small 30-game sample size (in which CJ still has a better PER). you have to do better than average 13 PPG, 32% from 3, and have a league average 15 PER to surpass CJ
@MPrams@BillSimmons but what’s your point? CJ is clearly the better player. i’m responding to simmons acting like hart is a “winning” player, while he’s never been on a winning team and has the Pelicans at 21-32. like hart on his number all you want, but he doesn’t move the needle
@MPrams@BillSimmons eh year ain’t over and CJ has been dealing with an injury and missed 5 more games than Hart. I’ll bet he finishes with a higher BPM and VORP by the end of the year. but i’ll take the last 4 years as stronger evidence. CJ has 7 years above harts career best PER.
@demonhunter023 @neeko_vo @llama_smiling @testlap@LeaMaric it’s a nonfunctioning steel mill. those aren’t nuclear reactors. no matter what your anti-china, media riddled brain says, china isn’t putting an olympic event on radioactive site. get help.
@crab_season @bornecrosseyed@MichaelYouKnow@LeaMaric it’s funny listening to all these people complaining about china hosting. literally no one else but kazakhstan entered a bid. get mad at your own country if you don’t like it, but chinas doing a decent job considering the circumstances (covid and their lack of ski infrastructure)
@gumballgarry@bornecrosseyed@MichaelYouKnow@LeaMaric would love to here which mountain and area could hold the olympics in china. they don’t have world class resorts with good ski/tourist infrastructure around any of their “decent” mountains. but it was either them or kazakhstan. so there which great options for these olympics
@bornecrosseyed@MichaelYouKnow@LeaMaric do you people live in a weird alternate reality where countries that didn’t put in bids get to host the olympics?
only 2 countries put in bids. china and kazakhstan.
also last time they had an olympics in vancouver they had more of an issue with warms temps and melting snow
@jaykay1883@BillSimmons i just can’t imagine dame signs up for this. they just got rid of most of the talent and dame is not sticking around to draft guys and do a rebuild. it sucks. but a good package for dame would mean portland would have a ton of picks going forward. not all bad.
@jaykay1883@BillSimmons hate to break it to you, but this is a portland blow up. they sit dame the rest of the season, tank for a high pick, and trade dame this summer is my guess. no way is dame sticking around after they dumped CJ, Powell, and Gary Trent.
@jaykay1883@BillSimmons he’s also worse in ever single advanced metric that measures “winning”. he’s never been on a winning team in the nba and is currently helping the Pelicans to a 21-32 record
you can like him just fine, but he doesn’t move the needle and NO will win more games with CJ
@CocoJr@BillSimmons got my doubts on that. my guess is they sit fake the rest of the year and trade him this summer. 2 lottery picks and josh hart may get you something, but this looks like a blow up job.
@CocoJr@BillSimmons i’m responding to bill acting aghast that NO would trade for Hart for CJ. it makes sense for them. like i said, i’m not even a CJ guy, but he’s better than hart and will help them win more games. but yeah portland blowing it up. about time.
@CocoJr@BillSimmons damn you’re right. better just keep josh hart at $12M so the pelicans can finish 10 games under .500 and watch zion walk on them. would really hate to break that up.
but better save that money for the big time free agent that will sign with new orleans lol
@jonb819@ajrochel@BillSimmons a recipe for a winning player is having more/better PPG, APG, 3pt%, PER, WS, BPM, VORP. which CJ did every single year of Harts career.
you can like Hart and think he is a winning player, but he is worse than CJ. which makes the tweet so weird.
@slowesturtle@JadenReyArien@BillSimmons he's never even been to the playoffs. and CJ beats him in pretty much every counting and advanced metric. that’s fine if you think him on $12M is better than CJ on $30M, but he isn’t a better or more “winning” player than CJ.
