VRT staff extends our deep condolences to the City of Nampa and family of Mayor Hogaboam.

The City of Nampa and the entire Treasure Valley lost a leader with the tragic passing of Mayor Rick Hogaboam.

Our staff got to work with Rick for years as a chief of staff, city councilman, and, most recently, mayor and member of the VRT Board of Directors.

We saw firsthand his passion for the people he served, his unwavering commitment to his community, and his thoughtful approaches to problem solving. He was a dedicated public servant whose collaboration and leadership left an impact across the region.

Presidents’ Day is coming up this Monday!

That means reduced bus service only on Routes 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 20 and 29.

With 2026 just TWO weeks away (already?) we are excited to announce our New Year’s Eve Bus service on Route 7 Fairview! Here’s the rundown:

- Route runs from Towne Square Mall to Main Street Station (around the block from Idaho Potato Drop)
- Runs every 15 minutes from 7 PM until 1 AM
- FREE parking at the Towne Square Mall Park & Ride (by Dillard’s)
- Download the Umo Mobility app (unless you’re paying with cash)
