आप सबको नवरात्रि की शुभकामनाएँ! त्योहारों का समय आरंभ हो रहा है और आप सब तैयारियों में लग गए होंगे कि क्या खरीदना है, कैसे खरीदना है। आपकी सरकार उस निर्णय को सहज बनाने हेतु प्रयासरत है। हमने इसी दिशा में करोड़ो परिजनों को त्योहार में बचत भी हो, खरीद भी, इसके लिए नेक्स्ट जेनेरेशन GST का प्रावधान किया है जो कल से लागू हो रहा है।

पहले के सत्रह टैक्सों को हमने चार में किया, अब हमने उसे और भी सरल करते हुए, दो स्लैब में लाया है। हालाँकि आप में से अधिकांश के लिए तो केवल एक ही स्लैब है, वो है पाँच प्रतिशत का।

आज भारत समय के उस मोड़ पर खड़ा है जहाँ हमें आत्मनिर्भरता की सबस��� अधिक आवश्यकता है। कई रिफॉर्म्स करने होंगे। हमें वह सामर्थ्य पैदा करना है कि हमें किसी भी राष्ट्र की अपनी नीतियों के कारण, अपनी नीतियों को बदलना न पड़े।

जुड़े हुए विश्व में, न चाहते हुए भी हमारे देशवासियों पर नकारात्मक प्रभाव पड़ ही जाते हैं। अतः, हमें उससे निपटने हेतु, आत्मनिर्भरता को अपने घर से फैक्ट्री तक, लागू करना ही होगा।

हमें देश में ही जेट भी बनाना है, ड्रोन भी बनाना है, जहाज भी और दैनिक उपयोग की वस्तुएँ भी। यदि हम अपने मैनुफैक्चरर्स के उत्पाद खरीदेंगे तो उनके हाथ सशक्त होंगे। चाहे दशहरा की सजावट हो या धनतेरस-दीपावली में ली जाने वाली घरेलू प्रयोग के उपकरण, भारतीय उत्पाद माँगें।

Regarding the recent H1B fee hike to $100,000

I went to US on H1B visa in 1998 for a salary of 60,000 USD per Annum.
No doubt a big salary when converted to INR, but after taxes and cost of living in USA no big savings. of course now starting salaries must be higher.

However, the reason people still leave India is not only salary but also better quality of life.

Two things that annoy me every day of living in Hyderabad:

1. Constant noise pollution. (Mainly vehicular honking, noisy vehicles, & construction activity). No peace of mind.
2. Chaotic traffic. I think 10 times before I step out of the house, which is a restrictive lifestyle. Hate dealing with bad aggressive drivers on the road.

So many other things are great in India like family, old friends, great food, affordable maids, Driver, affordable healthcare, etc.

So if we can somehow fix this chaotic traffic and constant noise, it will be a huge game changer for India.

But today, after fighting for improving traffic conditions since the last six years and no progress, I feel only God can fix these two things…
