@Kwen_C That’s because no team would have started the conversation for Mendoza. Very good college player but not worthy of a team giving up assets to trade up for.
@PGHBB@ScottBirch17@RuiterWrongFAN And those additional picks could help build a team that could actually win games. They are not winning with Myles as currently constructed. Also, Verse was a really good pick up in this trade. Take that over 1-2 additional late 1st round picks
@JACNG7227@RuiterWrongFAN It’s not measuring Myles to Jared… it would be nice to get another 1st and Jared but that’s not possible. Proven Jared is better compensation than an additional 1st round pick because it’s unlikely to get a similar player in the draft
@PubliusTacitus4@RuiterWrongFAN True but you have to admit if you watched the NFL Jared is a legit pro bowl player and a difference maker on the defense. He is not Myles but a better return the a second 1st round pick would have been.
@AllbrightNFL@SigmundBloom There will need to be a better option available willing to come to Cleveland. I don’t really see there being a better option coming available next year. He would need to be a Freddie Kitchens bonehead to be a one and done. That’s hard to do
@Kwen_C I am a huge fan of Myles but the Browns were not going to win with him. They had to get younger and get draft capital. I was hoping for a bit more (another 1st or couple 2nd round picks). However, getting Verse included was really good
@ErnieJo16729855@ESPNCleveland@RapSheet I agree with 3 1st rounders but they got an elite young pass rusher in the deal, which is better than a late 1st round pick they would have gotten in 2028. I’m OK with this deal, especially with Myles being 31 and the $$$
