" Better safe than sorry. "

He extended a hand forward, offering her the seat. The establishment was nothing lavish. A hole in the wall with dim lighting and the scent of coffee in the air. A place known for the taste of the food, not the price range.

You know, Bruce, for a man who claims to have free time, you look remarkably like you're waiting for an interrogation to begin.

( She pulled out the chair opposite him. )

May I? ⠀

Bruce Wayne was always one to keep himself upon the highest standards. When you served as your own form of hidden identity, it helped to keep appearances... But now, those dark circles under his eyes seemed all the heavier. An unkempt scruff framing his jaw.

" Alright then . . . "

And so, he gave her space. Leaving the area and dressing down into something more... Casual. Afterwards, he sat and he waited. Eyes forward, face as stonelike as it always was.

As you wish. I wouldn't want to frighten your fellow Gothamites before we've even had our coffee.

Though I must admit, I'm rather curious about this place you've chosen. You make it sound as though you're taking me somewhere terribly exclusive.

Give me a moment to change, then.

[— 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝕭 𝐀 𝐓 @RighteousShadow]

⠀

. . . Call it what you'd like, Diana.
I know a good spot. Make sure to
change into more appropriate
clothes. As nice as you look in
your battle armor, I'd rather not
be harassed with fools in over
their heads.

[ִ ׂ _ ★ ᅟ𝓦𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑 𝐖𝐎𝐌𝐀𝐍 @themysciralasso]

I suppose that depends on how much coffee you intend to offer me. We Amazons have our own customs, Bruce, but I assure you, I'm not unfamiliar with earthly pleasures.

And no, I'm not busy. I'd be delighted to spend some time with you. Are you asking me on a coffee date, Wayne?

[— 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝕭 𝐀 𝐓 @RighteousShadow]

⠀

Heroic, huh...? Yeah, it's . . . Good
to see you too.

. . . Say, are you busy? I've got some
free time, as rare as it is. Do
Amazonian's drink coffee?

⠀

[ִ ׂ _ ★ ᅟ𝓦𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑 𝐖𝐎𝐌𝐀𝐍 @themysciralasso]

You don't have to explain yourself, Bruce. I know Gotham has a way of demanding everything from the people who care for it.

I'm well, thank you. Keeping busy myself, though perhaps not quite as heroically as you. I've missed seeing you, however. It's been far too long.

[— 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝕭 𝐀 𝐓 @RighteousShadow]

I haven't forgotten anyone.
I've been . . . Busy. Gotham
can be a cruel Mistress.
