@tbonier They had every opportunity to be informed, or to choose not to vote if they really felt woefully uninformed. They voted for him; they own everything that comes with it.
@MickeyJoTheatre Calling someone out does not force them to become radicalized. I don't know how she voted, but calling her out on supporting the MAGA acolytes is fair criticism from her fan base. She has choices as to who to be, how to vote, what she stands for; choices often have consequences
Ultimately I think this is just about celebrity. He’s like the last true conservative celebrity that anyone cares about. And his supporters are actually just fans. They like his idiotic show. And we are having serious political discussions while funny grandpa insults minorities.
@srm_az @OnstageBlog (To be clear, I was being sarcastic. To ME, her performance wasn't as singularly epic or virtuosic as some rabid fans seem to think. To each their own, etc....)
@Logically_JC Because a smart Black man had the audacity to be President, they will attempt to undo his legacy (to their own detriment) for the rest of forever.
@tomcolicchio I wish you were kidding... (and that the maga trolls in your comments would gracefully accept the W and go wait for the price of eggs to go down. What a bunch of sore winners/whiners!)
@joncoopertweets He won't do it. He'll say he's "such a good negotiator" that just the threat of tariffs did... something. He'll stop mentioning the ridiculous fallacy that increased tariffs would benefit the US economy, and no one will call him out on it. Tariff Talk was just a campaign gimmick.
@David_Moscrop They had a choice. They made a choice. Aligning intentionally with racism, misogyny, homophobia, fascism & hate is a choice; it's who they've chosen to be.
In Detroit in June, Trump said of his campaign, “We don’t need [the] votes,” and “We got more votes than anybody’s ever had.”
The fact is, on multiple occasions, Trump said he didn’t need votes.
@gayguycandleco Integrity and "the high road," not to mention compassion for others, has gotten us nowhere time and again.
Let's go full "Robin Hood" and do shady things with higher intent, perhaps?
@likaluca After his book became popular, a colleague called my social media agency and said "Peter Thiel wants to make JD Vance a senator, and he's looking for a digital strategy along the lines of Cambridge Analytica..." I declined to apply, but it was clear there was a BIG plan ahead.
