Half of what I see is that it's just a vague term that allows for nepotism and minimally-qualified rich people to parachute in and cherry-pick a high salary for minimal value.

I think we can lean on the private sector for a lot more things, but there really need to be robust checks and balances and antitrust measures in place or it quickly becomes dystopian.

@JinglaiHe Seems like one of those strident-sounding but vague promises that parties feel free to make when in opposition, but what's being cut? What's the plan behind it? Some things (like most consultants) should definitely go. Others... I'm not convinced.

@MediasLies Sadly, they're also starting to look true. Head of the FCC threatening a station's license if they don't take someone off the air? A private army going into businesses and residences and arresting people without due process? On their own, each might be justified, but together?
