39 year old book/writing enthusiast. New account, locked out of my old one for following too many accounts at once! I love amateur and indie stories. :)
@lucydoeswriting We all start somewhere, if anything this will be an awesome way to see how far you've progressed as a writer! I'm sure it will be amazing, you have a natural talent.
Love this, maybe because periwinkle is one of my favorite words, or maybe because her talent and natural command of words makes itself extremely prevalent in this story. Either way, another amazing piece from Lucy! If you are a fan of young/amateur writers, check her out. :)
@lucydoeswriting What a wonderful piece of work, this feels like it is very personal and that adds an extra layer of meaning to it. Good job, you're doing really well with these poems. :)
@gabrielablandy @Reveal_House When it comes to writing, I have learned that because writing is very subjective there will always be people that won't like your work, but that doesn't mean that it is substandard.
@JadeGarcia89 @Reveal_House 5am here in chilly Canada and I've found myself scrolling twitter, admiring other people's work instead of pulling my finger out and doing my own!
@lucydoeswriting Haha, seeing my words on a t-shirt would be something else! It is unfortunate to hear you are in hospital, but hopefully you are getting the help you need. It is wonderful to hear that you are using your free time to do something so amazing though, keep it up Lucy! Big things :)
@twincity0 The sense of accomplishment and pride you feel when you finally reach a point where others can visualize YOUR world through words alone is immeasurable.
@mn_seeley I love seeing the writing community come together on this platform and welcome others into their ranks. Seeing complete strangers share their passions, hobbies, and careers with each other brings a smile to my face. We are a lucky bunch :)
@lucydoeswriting That is ok, no need to thank me at all. I love seeing young writers that are as passionate about their art as you - I very much enjoy your stories, and now poems, just be careful not to burn yourself out as I notice you post new things quite frequently. Progress takes patience :)
#writerslift is a great way to get yourself better known out there in the #writingcommunity. If you are trying to grow a larger follow base, or just wanting to get to know more likeminded people, definitely give these hashtags a visit!
I'm seeing so many talented writers out there that should have more followers. How about a #writerslift? #WritingCommunity, drop your links below. Remember to follow and support eachother. We're in this together. ๐โ
I wrote a poem and I'm actually kind of proud of it :) It's only 90 words, please feel free to have a read #WritingCommunity#amwriting https://t.co/puBlzd8m5J
@kevihaynes It is unfortunate to hear when people bring others down for no apparent reason, all you can do is keep your head high and have faith in knowing you are still supported one way or another. Keep at it and your initiative will eventually pay off, best of luck Kevin!
The #writingcommunity has people from so many varying skill levels and backgrounds and it is amazing to see them come together and build a loving, caring, and nurturing community. Seeing the support that young
or inexperienced authors get is amazing and I thank you all.
@lucydoeswriting No need to thank me, just keep up the awesome work. I am looking forward to putting some time aside, and a warm tea or two, to read your book 'The Duality of Aerwyn Willowsong'. But it seems that the link to the PDF has expired on Kofi, might need to check that one out Lucy! :)
