“Verified” no more. Our blue check is gone, but we’re still the same independent state Green Party we’ve been—since 1992! Meanwhile, fake (but well funded) organizations willing to give the rocket-exploding billionaire toddler $1,000 a month get the Twitter seal of authenticity.
Be prepared. Like many other users, GPRI finds Twitter's recent rightward lurch ominous and disturbing; we're seeing more misinformation, racism, and abuse. So, we're getting ready for what may come, and have set up accounts at Mastodon and Post. 1/7
This is a serious complaint. We hope Greens will pay attention to who’s funding some sketchy Democrats, who *claim* to be progressive—but employ the same old dark money tactics. This discredits all of us who are fighting for a livable future!
Greg Gerritt, the face of the Green Party in RI - and former administrator of the Environmental Council of RI- has filed a blistering complaint with the @RI_BOE against candidate for governor, @mattbrownRI, @Cynthia_Mendes_ and affiliated organizations.
My story is coming
John Rensenbrink of Maine was a friend to Greens around the world. His wise counsel and fierce vision, of global peace and ecological restoration, was an inspiration to all who knew him. Especially in these fraught times, he will be missed. @MaineGreens@GreenPartyUS#Rensenbrink
John Rensenbrink, visionary author, teacher, and global ecology activist, has died. Family by his side, John passed peacefully today at the age of 94. A founder of the US Green Party, & international voice for peace, John's legacy will endure in the lives of those he touched.

For thirty years, the Green Party of Rhode Island has marched for peace, as Dem and Repub leaders glorify war, and vote for war. We support peace, international negotiations, and human rights—even when the US violates those rights. @UpriseRI@Green_Maps https://t.co/TUS82ulbq6
Green Party Urges Passage of Two Questions on March 2 Ballot in RI—But No to Quonset and Highways
Sunday, February 21, 2021
The Green Party of Rhode Island is urging voter to support two of the upcoming bond issues and reject two others.
https://t.co/RgwGfOifGL
VOTE AGAINST FOSSIL FUEL SUBSIDIES. RI must take a long range view on transportation and move away from a reliance on cars and fossil fuels. We must reduce the environmental costs of continued automobile use and strive towards sustainable mass transportation. VOTE NO ON #4
VOTE AGAINST CORPORATE WELFARE - Unregulated growth is detrimental to the health of any living thing. Referendum #7 – Industrial Facilities - ignores very real natural limits while being ill defined and an apparent gift to business at taxpayer expense. VOTE NO ON #7
VOTE FOR CHILDREN. Early childhood education is the foundation for learning and preparation for children to be successful in the changing world ahead. Funding to enhance the quality of support is money well spent on our future generations. VOTE YES ON #5
Referendum #2 will help prepare our state for rising seas, stronger storms, and bigger floods. These are good long term investments for our communities and our planet. VOTE YES ON #2
VOTE FOR SUSTAINABILITY. The Green Party of Rhode Island urges voters to think about future sustainability in deciding how to vote in Special Election March 2. Greens are clear on the kind of state we envision, but *your choices will decide Rhode Island's future. VOTE YES ON #2
More than $67 million of this bond issue directly will be spent on expanding and improving parks, especially in urban places, protecting forests and farmland from destruction, clean water, both drinking water and the streams, rivers, and ponds of Rhode island... VOTE YES ON #2
