With Twitter being officially bought out, it can allow Twitter to now sway to one side of the political spectrum. #comm31@CarpeTeachem

This goes on to prove how effective propaganda really is, and how promoting false narratives can bring the people around you to a state of depression. #comm31@CarpeTeachem
At least four high-profile employees have resigned from Russian state TV, a crucial Kremlin propaganda tool. They cited regret for promoting false narratives about Ukraine.
“People are just depressed — clinically depressed,” a former correspondent said. https://t.co/TNLpBbz0nc
This is the second thing I see when I open Twitter. A perfect example of welcome to the club advertising. Being part of "Twitter Blue", so you can be the first to know when your favorite people tweet. #comm31@CarpeTeachem
Now that sanctions have been placed on Russia and inflation has been increasing, gas prices have been going up. This then gives the media a chance to report on it and give even more attention to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. #comm31@CarpeTeachem
@CarpeTeachem I think a proper "punishment" would be restrictions on advertisements that target the younger demographic and easier to coerce people, but I doubt that'll be able to happen.
Targeting ads towards the younger demographic has been making companies like Facebook ridiculous amounts of money. Addicted to liking posts, buying things in games, and getting more dopamine from social media. #comm31@CarpeTeachem
We must hold social media platforms accountable for the national experiment they’re conducting on our children.
It’s time to strengthen privacy protections, ban targeted advertising to children, and demand tech companies stop collecting personal data on our children.
Wow. This sounds like something straight out of Tony Stark's lair. If this gets created and polished, I wonder if this'll be a popular way to create experiences, or if creating them by hand would be preferred. #comm31@CarpeTeachem
A Trip to the Moon was made in only three months, and it cost 10-30k francs. It was one of the first animated film as well, because there is a small animated section at the end. Add that with all of the SFX of the time and the camera work, it's amazing! @CarpeTeachem#comm31
Blown away that American artists are losing millions of dollars off of this. Songwriters and publishers get royalties for songs being played on AM/FM, but the performers themselves don't get anything. @CarpeTeachem#comm31
Did you know AM/FM radio is the only platform that does not compensate #performers for the sound recordings they use because of a corporate #radio loophole?
Set your reminder learn about the AMFM Act with our team + @RecordingAcad member @BooMitchell901.

@CarpeTeachem This will fit into media literacy by showing people that our media can always be constrained and changed at the blink of an eye, and especially when we don't expect it. I don't think it's like the Mature Content label though, only because that's for explicit lyrics.
Spotify's new labeling system for all COVID-19 related content will be very interesting in playing a key role in future journalism, especially for truthful sources. I know that produsers will have a lot to say about this issue. @CarpeTeachem#comm31
In a blog post, Ek also outlined the platform’s internal content moderation policies as well as a new labeling system for COVID-19-related content.
However, Ek did not specifically mention Rogan or his show — the most popular podcast on Spotify.

@CarpeTeachem Convergence of new tech has brought on new ways of broadcasting/showing these tragic events to the world in a way not possible 20 years ago, through social media. Not only do we have things like more insight on what these mass shootings mean, but we have insight from students.
Back then, there were no active shooter drills, no warnings, no communication, and no cellphones to aid the kids. Now, we have all of those things and more, but parents still have other things to worry about, especially with social media and depression. @CarpeTeachem#comm31
For years, I’ve wondered about the first generation of school shooting survivors. They’re grown ups now, many with children of their own. How do they process what happened to them–and what’s still happening to kids today? I wrote about them for Vox. https://t.co/qWUKRGsRbl
@CarpeTeachem I see it as to each their own, but as corporations get greedier and more money hungry, it should concern people how quickly this is all happening. There have been countless works about this exact topic and how it can go wrong so fast.
We have a ways to go until we'll be able to "telepathically" communicate, but once we do, our ways of communication will change forever. Social media will have a whole new spin to on it. "instant"gram may become a little more instant. #comm31@CarpeTeachem
NEW: Elon Musk’s brain implant company Neuralink is now hiring a clinical trial director, an indication that the company’s longstanding goal of implanting chips in human brains is coming closer https://t.co/4eH4RpTl2y
