Bit of a thread, but, here we go:
I will be putting this account to rest. I probably wouldn't delete in case people still want to have a way to find me, but I will be using a different one from here on in as, well, Riobux just isn't me any more.

For people who I'll never talk with again, well, it was genuinely nice seeing you. Even the people who I wanted to throttle. I know we spoke when my mood was permanently just different shades of bleak, but I actually feel genuinely happy for once. This feels right.

@Darckcloud723 Being wrong hurts, totally, but, being wrong in such a way to make others around you miserable and never shifting from that path seems like a fate worse than death to me. Just, take the blow to the ego, become a better person, and move on?

@Darckcloud723 Yeeeeeah, I've seen a few people before where they see the representation of something bad as acceptance, despite it not working that way?

I also suspect a lot of it is discomfort of having a point you believe in criticised, like being wrong is the worst thing in the world.

@stereosaur My door is similarly always open to you, even if it's just to chat. I hope you're okay. Especially as you're definitely one of the people I follow who I enjoy reading posts of and responding in silly ways or by being overly serious. You're definitely good people.

@Darckcloud723 I'm just at a point where I'm convinced consumers (and most journalists) have a boiled spine. They'll one minute blather on about ethics in game dev, and the next worship the ground AAA publishers/devs with a track history of workplace abuse walk on.

@stereosaur It's wilful ignorance that does it for me honestly. When you have all the time and resources to research, and you just ignore that, at best I'm going to ask for that apology while proving you wrong. At worst, well, I'm going to mock you for the scumbag you are.

@stereosaur I do admit that the environment that has been created can, at times, be too strong with "correcting" mistakes, but, I do really think about intent. You can say something disgustingly wrong, but as long it's in good intention, I don't mind just correcting.

@stereosaur It's kind of one of the more awkward things I've personally seen: Cis straight guys constantly walking on egg shells, despite their heart being in the right place, expecting any moment to screw up and be trashed for it.

It... Really doesn't work like that, least to me.

@stereosaur I think, personally, for me, I don't mind allies speaking. But also they should be open to others criticising and even asking to adjust or delete. I, personally, don't see anything wrong, but I'm not going to represent others in my group.
