One of the problems with how politics is covered is many have forgotten that the purpose of politics is policy, as in solving problems. It's not about scoring points in a game of inside baseball. To cover it as such undermines the health and safety of our nation and the planet.
We're not waiting for an exceptionally creative tweet for us to finally act on the climate crisis.
We're not waiting on a perfect hero, a perfect politician, or a perfect technology.
We're waiting on the people of Earth to step up and fight for the future. We need you.

What we are watching unfold in Afghanistan is gut wrenching.
As always we need to center the people.
The U.S. should do everything in our power to safely evacuate advocates, refugees, and journalists alongside U.S. personnel and allies. Each person in harms way matters deeply.
There’s so much devastation in our World House.
And it is possible to have the capacity to care about a multitude of issues and people.
To love the people of Cuba, Lebanon, Haiti, Greece, Mozambique, the U.S., Afghanistan…
We have a responsibility to secure the Kabul airport and get out the Afghani human rights and women’s rights advocates that have been our partners there. Especially the women and their families. This situation is dire. https://t.co/G413rRkBJk
We cannot let politics or bureaucratic rules stop us from accepting as many Afghan interpreters and others into the USA as possible. There will be a time for analysis and recriminations, but people are in danger right now and we must help.
