Sometimes, creative risks play out differently than expected. Our Editor-In-Chief, Eric July, made a call in Bloodruth #1 that might not have landed as intended—but we’ll let you be the judge. Let us know what you think when your books arrive!

[Rippaverse Goalposts @RippaGoalposts]

Certain individuals are still crying about the cinematic technique utilized in Bloodruth. They claim Eric July ruined a double page spread by misprinting the comic book, and he refused to spend money fixing the "error."

[ZACK MORRIS SUPREMACY @zacxmorris]

@EthanVanSciver Eric July and his mongrel-minded baboon fans deserve nothing but mockery and ridicule.

Pile-drive them into the ash heap of history.

Dude is raging because people enjoy reading comic books that he dislikes

What did I base my opinion on? Uh, okay…

Based on a combined 1 millions subs between him and Eric July. ISOM #1 pulling 3.7 million. Everyone expected at least 500k for a new #1 from this power couple. Eric needed to prove Rippasend could make money for others, figured he’d clear the runway, not close and launch new books on top of Flash’s.

I thought it’d pull around 2 million, be a nice win for Dillard. Under 300k was unthinkable with that much marketing horsepower, but it looks to be happening.

Based on that.

Absolute disaster.

Actual Fandom: "Eric July seems bored."

Airrick: "Yea!! I would be excited if I had my own company with as many things as he has going on... He seems like the most depressed owner of a comic book company I've ever known."

[AV8R Surge 🛩 @Av8rSurge]

@ComicsGateDrama Also: EJ drained the market with his own comic release prior to pushing YF"s MGP. After all, everyone who goes through Rippasend are official competitors. So there's a conflict of interest in EJ's services to promote competitors books.

[Rippaverse Goalposts @RippaGoalposts]

Narrative: The Mighty Golden Patriot is underperforming because Eric July released too many books that are direct competition.

[Vonster @__RiseAgain__]

@ComicsGateDrama After the MGP announcement 8 months ago Eric has since churned out tons of subpar books assembly line style which led to many potential customers to move on but also it’s because flash burnt bridges with real comic fans and artists.

Nyobi explains "what went wrong" with the campaign for The Mighty Golden Patriot by Yellow Flash and Dillard

"We've heard about the Golden Patriot for a couple of years now and we never really seen much on it other than a couple of concept images...how are you gonna be excited?"

[Rippaverse Goalposts @RippaGoalposts]

Detractors are claiming Yellow Flash and Dillard's comic book "The Mighty Golden Patriot" is a failure. Detractors expected the campaign to generate a million dollars by now.

@RippaGoalposts Detractors: “Isom #3 will be THE last Isom comic. It’s gotta be over. Eric and his company are done!”

(Isom #4 announcement)

Detractors: “STOP DOING THAT!” 😡

NEW Goalpost

🤡: "The reality is I don't think we're gonna get a 4th Isom. I think Isom 3 is the last one."

Here’s a statement: Iconic Comics is “heavily aligned” with the idea that companies should have integrity and fulfill book orders to readers in a timely manner.

My “active role” is having my words and actions as it pertains to Soulfinder books and merch “heavily aligned.” 😎🤝
