I know people say I suddenly left, but that’s not true. This had been building up for a while. I paid royalties as long as I possibly could, but I stopped when sales dropped and I literally couldn’t afford it anymore. (Check the Ledger)

During that whole period, I was already holding back on developing new features (Check Github). Most of the features I had built before weren’t even being used much; all I kept seeing were new requests and ideas being thrown at me. When I announced that I couldn’t keep paying royalties anymore, that’s when everything blew up. Holders saw it as: “He isn’t building anymore, and now he’s not paying royalties either.” But as you can see, it was way deeper than that.

On top of that, the constant moaning and complaining in the Discord (at least that’s how I experienced it) pushed me to shut down the website. My thought was: if you guys can’t even promote your own RipplePunks—you barely saw RipplePunk shills on Twitter compared to other top projects—then why should I keep putting in all this effort to keep it alive?

So yeah, that’s why I left and pulled the plug. (May 2025)

Few weeks back, I was in the Netherlands on a long-planned trip. While I was there, I found out they were planning to burn their RipplePunks. At the same time, I saw all these insults about me— “scammer, rug puller,” and so on. When I realized they actually planned to burn them, that’s when I decided to step back in.

Because seriously—rather than shill your RipplePunks and build value for yourselves, you’d rather kick me out and burn them? For what? Over royalties—which, in my opinion, I deserve. I worked so hard on RipplePunks, on top of my regular job. But no, apparently it was all “He is stealing our royalties.”

At first, I said: fine, if you burn your RipplePunks, I’ll just re-mint them and start fresh. Then, when they saw that, they changed course and decided to stall their RipplePunks—taking them out of circulation. And only then (whatever people may say, I want to stress this: ONLY THEN) I decided to mint 10k more and call them The Other Punks.

Now, weeks later, people are accusing me of changing rarities, crashing the floor, and all that—but that only happened because they moved their assets first!

So my plan was simply to “save my work.” By that, I don’t just mean the artwork itself, but also the technical side of the collection, especially the volume.

I’m not going anywhere—RipplePunks is my project, and I’ll keep pushing it forward until you’ve had your fill of these blue punks.
