Ebanks showed a lot of promise a couple years ago especially indoors but was never able to replicate it outdoors
It seems to be paying off now

From Olympic gold to coaching an Olympic Champion. Joanna Hayes redefined Collegiate Dual Hurdling (100mH and 400mH) in the late 1990s while competing for the UCLA Bruins. The 2003 Pan American Games 400mH Champion decided to fully focus on the 100mH in 2004. A move that saw her becoming Olympic Champion in Athens with an Olympic Record of 12.37seconds that lasted for eight years. Since then she coached at USC and is now the Track and Field at UCLA. As well as coached Rai Benjamin to win the Olympic gold medal in the 400mH at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Additionally, she came the first coach to have two athletes earn medals in the Mens’ and Womens’ 400mH at the same World Championships (Doha 2019 and Tokyo 2025).
