Last Night 92-year-old Dan Rather made the following statement in regards to Trump.
“Let me make this perfectly clear. It’s not about politics. I’ve voted for both parties. It’s about me, as a patriot, rejecting a cheating, lying, racist, treasonous, fascist and vile man who attacks the free press, and wants to lead the country I love.”
Dan Rather is 92. He has dozens of Peabosdy and Emmy Awards. He has been known for his unbiased reporting by both sides of the aisle. His words matter.
@LaneEnglish1@BravoTitan9 @pastors4txkids Texas has banned collective bargaining for most public employees, as well as striking. Some of the teachers unions are TSTA, and TAFT. Teachers associations include ATPE and TCTA. https://t.co/uO2Z7zTXtX
@GovAbbott No! Public tax money belongs in public schools. No vouchers, ESA’s or school choice from tax dollars. When will you get it through your thick skull Greg?!?
@SpringTexasMC@TroyMooney First, you already have it. You can send your kid to any charter or private school you want. Public tax dollars should not be used to fund your choice.
The Berkner Band is state bound, earning a performance at the Alamodome in San Antonio for the 2023 Texas UIL State Open Class Marching Band Contest on the evening of Monday, October 30. @kacage @bhsstem@JBradfordRISD
@GovAbbott@TPPF No! You have an obligation to properly fund public schools! Vouchers/ESA/school choice-whatever name you call it- will destroy public schools. Raise the student allotment more than a measly $75! Raise teacher pay! Lower class sizes! Abolish STAAR testing. Support public schools!
It's time to accept the fact that there is not support in the Legislature to pass taxpayer-funded vouchers for private schools. Let's invest in more than 5 million kids in Texas public schools. #txlege#txed https://t.co/lb2OtXmMkF
Privatization of Public Education:
Defund schools.
Depress teachers.
Demonize trustees.
Destroy democracy.
No vouchers in Texas.
Not now. Not ever.

@realcornpop7 @margueritwrites @wfaa His cost of living increase for retired teachers was only a 2% increase, inflation is up 17%. How does 2% really help our retired teachers? He’s done nothing for school funding which hasn’t had an increase in over 4 years and he did nothing for current teachers salaries.
@wfaa No! Public money for public schools! Parents already have choice. File for a transfer, go to a charter school, go to a private school, but do not take public money away from public schools to do so.
Our kids & their educators deserve better than backroom, shady deals! We need more $$$ in our schools & raises for all #TxEd employees.
How dare the #TxLege sneak a voucher into a bill that would do both! @KingforTexas@DadePhelan@CharlieGeren, reject the Senate's #HB100!
