This place in Rainawari (Kashmir) is known as 'Batta Mazar'.
It literally means 'Graveyard of Brahmins'.
620 years ago, Muslims summoned Brahmins to this place and gave them two choices
1) Discard Janeu
2) Diε
Nobody discarded Janeu. They were all killεd. 37 kg of Janeu was collected from their dead bodies and burnt. Hence the name 'Batta Mazar'.
This is what Kashmiri Brahmins suffered in the hands of Kashmiri Muslims for 700 years.
But in the eyes of Indian state today, Kashmiri Brahmins are the 'oppressors' and Kashmiri Muslims are 'oppressed'.
It rewards Kashmiri Muslims with reservations while many exiled Kashmiri pandits still rot in tents and refugee camps.
This is India's reservation policy in a nutshell.
There’s an unambiguous moral gulf between killing for food and killing for ritual. When you consume, or even kill for food, the victim is a commodity. Not an individual.
There’s an abstraction.
When you do it as a sacrifice, that abstraction is gone. The animal is no longer a mere commodity but an individual with a personality. There’s emotional attachment. It’s family.
This time, there’s trust.
When after treating it thus for days, or months, you look it in the eyes and run the knife against its throat, and slowly to maximize suffering, you steel yourself and your family against the emotional cost of death.
Today it’s an animal.
You felt little.
Do it a dozen times, and tomorrow, it’s be someone’s kid. And you’ll feel little.
Do that a dozen times and one day it’ll be your own kids. As canon fodder.
And you’ll feel nothing.
That’s why while humans mourns the death of their loved ones, you’re able to not only not mourn the death of your loved ones, but celebrate it in the street with knafehs.
When human armies press a button to launch missiles that’d kill you wholesale, they don’t feel a thing (mostly) because…abstraction.
You, on the other hand, are able to do it point blank. With bare hands. Women, children, sick, pets, all alike.
Those years of looking into the helpless animal’s eyes and running the blade across its throat led you to this place.
Terrorists are not trained in terror camps.
They’re trained right at home.
When I say everything about this religion is designed for absolute cruelty from the ground up, THIS is what I mean. Slaughter for food isn’t unique to Islam, this reinforced desensitization is. Absolute kill cult.
Jihadis threw stones on Hindus on the occasion of Maharana Pratap Jayanti.
They forgot that Rajputs protected Hindus for over 500 years and have warm blood and are always ready to fight.

One mother forbade medicines to the dying, converted them, then laughed at the death count; the other mother has provided free treatment to 5.9 million, built 13 million sqft, 95 OT, 101 speciality, 4050 bed hospitals employing 1540 doctors.
The first mother got the Nobel Prize.
For many in West Bengal who have lived under the rule of the despot Mamta Bannerjee and her TMC goons ,her defeat on 4th May 26 feels like Independence Day ,azaadi ki struggle. Hear this young man ,you too will tear up just like me. @UnSubtleDesi
People have so far seen a mellowed-down and refined version of Maharashtra’s Hindutva. Now it’s time for more assertive Militant & unapologetic version of Bengali Hindutva….
Seculars, liberals, Islamists & caste driven forces be ready….. ‘Abhi to party shuru hui hai’….
This is the late Shobha Majumdar of Bengal. In 2021 this 85 year old elderly mother was brutally thrashed on every part of her body by Mamata’s TMC goons just because her son Gopal Mazumdar was a BJP worker. Many of us saw the heartbreaking video of her weeping with injuries all over her face and head. She died a few weeks later.
May we never forget the injustice that was done to her. The pain and agony of such innocent souls became a Karmic curse for TMC and Mamata .
The Universe never forgets.
1. Just got off a call with @UnSubtleDesi. I couldn't be happier for her and both of us couldn't help but discuss the harrowing days of post poll violence in West Bengal in 2021. So I am going to share what happened five years ago just so ppl know what happened. #WestBengal2026.
Wherever she went to campaign, people came out, hugged and cried. She promised to not comb her hair, until she defeated this tyrannical govt. What a story!
There is a reason Bengal is called West Bengal despite being in the East of India. It is the Partition of India, on the basis of religion, less than 80 years ago. That reality became the central indeed the defining taboo of Indian politics. We were to all pretend it never happened. That the continuing reality of religion-based laws and secession movements was not all around us. That we were just to carry on until more amputations were done of Mother India. But let today’s message be crystal clear - be it Kashmir, Punjab, Bengal, Assam or Kerala: not an inch to be conceded. If anything, we plan to work towards what is inevitable - a united India, an Akhand Bharat. United not just politically but more importantly civilisationally. Whatever it takes.
Confessions and realities

I am a 42-year-old man with a senior job in IT. I have a house in Chennai, a supportive wife, and two children. On paper, everything about my life looks perfect. I have achieved all the things society says a man should achieve.
In my twenties, life felt different. I had friends to spend time with. We would hang out at Marina Beach and Besant Nagar beach, watch movies at Rohini, Udayam, and Kasi theatres, and ride around Mount Road on my RX100.
In my thirties, I had colleagues to talk with over tea breaks. We would discuss apartments, onsite trips, and share random stories about life and work.
But now, in my forties, life has turned into a quiet routine. My phone rarely rings for anything personal. Most calls are about office work, bank alerts, or someone from home asking me to pick up milk on the way back.
The loneliness of a man in his forties is unusual. I am not physically alone, but I often feel like a machine.
When I enter my home, I am simply “Appa.” I am the person who pays school fees, fixes the Wi-Fi, and handles repairs. My wife is busy with her work and the kids. My children are teenagers now, living in their own worlds and their own rooms. They love me, but they mostly see me as the person who provides comfort and stability. They no longer see me as an individual.
At the office, I am the senior person. I am expected to have all the answers. I cannot tell my team that I feel tired. I cannot tell my boss that I sometimes struggle to keep up with new technologies. I must appear confident and strong, even when I quietly worry about the future.
Sometimes I drive home slowly from work just to spend a few extra minutes in the car. I listen to songs from my college days.
For those fifteen minutes, I am not a manager or a father. I am simply myself again.
I realize that I have not had a real conversation about my feelings with anyone in years.
My old friends now exist mostly as names on WhatsApp. We send “Happy Birthday” or “Congratulations” messages, but rarely talk. When we meet at weddings, our conversations revolve around our children’s grades or the cars we drive. We never talk about what we actually feel.
The hardest part is that I cannot even complain. If I tell my family that I feel lonely, they look confused and say, “But we are all here with you.”
They do not understand that a person can be surrounded by people and still feel like they are on a desert island.
Society teaches men that if they provide money and security, they have succeeded in life.
But no one teaches us how to deal with the silence that comes with it.
I have built a beautiful life for everyone around me, but sometimes it feels like there is no space left for me inside it.
And maybe… this is what life in your forties feels like.
Apparently “wife says husband is innocent” is a “twist” that implies the current investigation isn’t “proper” or “transparent”. Leave aside the “social media outrage” ensued AFTER the investigation and arrests happened.
The TCS Nashik sexual/religious grooming case is a classic case of the failure of Indian secularism that has put the burden of modernity and decency on the Hindu while the Muslim is expected to be away from all demands of decency and modern secular standards. Fuck this societal asymmetry.
You can sell those nonsense to "liberal' #media - not us, Ms Moitra.
#TMC drove Tata Motors out and promised to do farming at 1000 acre land at #Singur. You did neither. (Meanwhile, #Gujarat gained from auto investments, followed by aviation.)
And, services, my foot! Buddhadeb brought Infosys in, #Trinamool denied them SEZ status.
No point in talking industry ও #investment with #Left and Trinamool. (Buddhadeb was an aberration) Left chased AV Birla group out. You drove out #Tata and kept churning out fake investment numbers at every BGBS.
FYI, #Kolkata suburbs were chemical hub of the country till 1960s. Left destroyed it. It is still the railway rolling stock hub. Durgapur, Haldia, Singur had ready land for all these 15 yrs of TMC rule. How many companies you brought in? (But I know leaders who invested in farm houses there)
Some like fertiliser plant was completed at TMC's tenure and #Modi brought gas pipeline for its operations.
Such #politics and politicians destroyed a state which was India's chemical hub and engineering hub. It steel has 2 integrated steel plants.
In 15 yrs TMC could not give state a top class private university like KIIT in Odisha. Bengalis now go to Odisha even for studies.
