Sometimes being a pastor is lonelier than the third verse of a hymn, which is why it’s important to plug into pastor networks, local associations, your state convention, and so fourth. Find a Barnabas, be a Barnabas...
Don't go at it alone; we’re on the same team!
God is never unjust when He withholds judgment. And He is never unjust when He brings it. We don't always understand His timing, but we can rest in His character. The Judge of all the earth will always do right.
Forgiveness isn’t something that can just be given for free; it always has a cost.
When we commit an offense against someone and they forgive us, they pay the price of the time, money, or reputation we took from them. Ephesians tells us our sins against God, too, come with a real cost that only Jesus could pay—and that understanding this can truly transform our lives.
Let’s look at how 1) no sin can be forgiven without someone absorbing the cost, 2) why Jesus’s crucifixion was the necessary answer for us breaking God’s Law, and 3) how our lives can be radically changed by this grace.

This week, we celebrate the grace God has poured out on our country. We remember and give thanks for the countless blessings He has bestowed on us over the past 250 years.
As we approach the Fourth of July this year, my prayer is not only for celebration, but for revival in our nation. True revival begins with a spiritual awakening—a deep awareness of how far we have drifted from God and an urgent desire to draw near to Him once again.
May we seek Him with humble hearts and pray that He would bring renewal to our land.
You may be the only Christian some people will ever know.
Jesus said it this way in Matthew 5:13-14: "You are the salt of the earth. You are the light of the world." You — and you alone.
Live in such a way that those who don't yet know Jesus will long to know Him.

Stand flat-footed and speak the truth on the issue of homosexuality. Don't just look someone in the eye when God says they are in jeopardy of an eternity in hell and merely wink and nod at their sin because you're afraid of being called names. Speak the truth. —Voddie Baucham
