Upper class Parents should thank God that their children are on the streets not drunk and disorderly but sober not only from drugs but from our own mess !
The Gen Zs have realized we upper class parents are the thieves, we steal to sustain them in Good schools, gated homes, academies and we neglected the public schools , hospitals and roads . We have degraded our economy and denied them jobs opportunities. We are now pushing them to be workers in other countries as laborers. The Gen Zs in the streets are aware that we have skewed economy where the “haves”have everything and “have not” are deprived.
They have decided to change the equation. Their struggle has no class, no tribe and no region.
They want to regularize the system such that every child has access to university education irrespective of your back ground. In their struggle,
they are organized and don’t need our inputs; their’s is a coherent informed voice. You can’t argue with them but must listen.
Who is there to listen? Don’t send police ;it will only agitate them .
Don’t under rate them , Don’t ignore them, Don’t demean them .
Rather involve them, engage them and appreciate them .

We must start believing in them . We educated them; they are now using the education we gave them to argue and ask critical questions as they seek to make things right . As a parent of a Gen z I am taking the challange daily .
It’s a new dawn in Kenya.
