Have you ever come across this thought of neglecting things we could’ve done , resulted in mighty version of ourselves and now all we do is create a story about it and tell it to ourselves.
This is kind of mind trap I’ve been studying for a while and closely observing its depths this one puts you in a state of unchosen suffering where your past slowly turns out to be story that could’ve been better and your current time just begins to slip away even faster , faster days , faster weeks , faster months and even years passes by.
You slowly begin to be a storyteller who originally started as a storywriter who was so keen to write his/her own story.
This has been one of its kind of mind trap that slowly makes you a person who has stopped writing and started to just ruminate within his/her great stories thats repeated for years with a gist of regret that you keep as a secret for years.

Our brain always chooses predictable suffering over an unwanted one, hence calmness harnessed as an unwanted suffering once you adapt to your current once.
Thats why healing never works the way you want to , you just silently adapt to your current form of anxieties.

I used to be better is the most self sabotaging thought a human could have and once its cultivated and fully riped you will never accept the present as it is and this sentence would become and escape from the future self as well.

only way to get out of this loop is stop admiring yourself in front of the mirror and start observing the reflection you are getting exactly back because thats real thing to observe , admiring it because you want to will lead to some massive misunderstanding about yourself.
This thought experiment has taught me a very important lesson to never compare any of your versions to the version you wanna become or you are - this leads to massive social anxiety as you are constantly objectifying yourself never accepting you as a whole.
