If I were still in the classroom, my students would go crazy knowing I got to meet the creator of @gimkit. As a CS teacher, I would share how their favorite review game was created by a high school student. Thank you @JoshFeinsilber for letting me share my stories with you!
I got to take my daughter’s stuffed animal for a trip to Denver #ISTELive24. Bingo got to take in some of the sights and experiences. I think she really took to @CDWCorp’s Esports Experience.
It was great seeing a live #MinecraftEdu build challenge. The collaboration, teamwork, and communication skill was amazing. So happy to see a future generation envisioning schools of the future. #ISTELive24@PlayCraftLearn
@mariagalanis 2/2 Minecraft is great for students that age. However, it depends on what game mode and version you are playing as you may need to deal with servers and other required downloads.
@mariagalanis We run esports tournaments for schools in our region in South Texas. We just included elementary this year with Mario Kart and Smash Bros. Based on what I get to see from our local coaches, those are the two most played games. 1/2
I had the chance to check out a middle school esports tournament in our region. I love seeing the excitement the students had. It was also great seeing parents and other faculty come out and support. Thanks for the invite @PSJA_LBJ_MS@PSJATech!
These students were part of my 7th grade class and robotics team. Our season got cut off in 2020 when COVID hit. Today, I got to watch them graduate! I’m so proud of their accomplishments and wish them the best of luck in their future! #proudTeacherMoment
This was such a fun and exciting event to host! It was great seeing how much energy students, educators, and parents brought to this event. I can't wait to see how elementary esports will grow in our region! #region1esports#elementaryesports
