Seeding and fertilizing one of the worst areas for growing grass on the property!!! Now the area has been tilled up we hope to produce some kind of playable surface for next season!!
It’s been like this for 40 years!! Can’t get grass to grow. Unplayable area. Tilling years of erosion and neglect on the right of #8. Seed with fine fescue and rope area off. Should have a good stand of grass for next year.
We have the greens where we want them regarding presentation and color, now we go after speed and consistency. Member - Guest T-7 days, let the Double mowing and rolling commence!!
Giving our putting surfaces an end of season feeding. First rain in the forecast for nearly 4 weeks. This will really perk them up and get them showing off, plus carbohydrate reserves going into fall. 13 days till member guest. @LebTurf
Never give up!!! Fertilizing #6 and #14 fairways at 8pm before our nighttime irrigation kicks on, waiting for a home owner to report a trespasser on the course 😂
This is getting old!! sodding the weak area back right on #17 green, we don’t own the trees shading the green, the green will always struggle not getting 8 hours of sun light a day.
Double mow at .100, Double roll, dialing them in for tomorrow’s shotgun. 0.25” rain yesterday. We dodged a bullet, areas around us got over 1 inch in a short amount of time.
Re-seeded the club entrance and pro shop lawns with tall fescue today!! That rain thunderstorm this afternoon will get it going!!! A first impression is everything.
Before and after!! In house mulch building side and compost graded with tall fescue seed parking lot side, should start seeing germination I’m 5-7 days.
