My Exec Principal role had to be 'parked' this morning due to severe staff shortages.. again... Today I took on the role of teaching assistant - picked a great day for a PE walk and football on the nearby pitch... lucky me!😎

Really ramping up opportunities to explore careers + post 16 at RDA.Yesterday Exeter College visited, two visits planned on their sites soon. Two trips to South Dartmoor College last week,a visit from them next week. Our Head of School has taken a group to Bicton College today👍

KS3 were immersed in their Science session at River Dart. Students applied their knowledge of physics and problem solving when constructing an internal combustion engine.

A really positive work-related visit today by KS4 students to Royal Devon & Exeter building site. Huge thanks to Morgan Sindell who explained the project and showed the group around the site. Looking forward to a follow up visit in 2 months to see the progress..

A huge, sincere thank you to 'THAT' food bank in Buckland who donated hampers to River Dart Academy so we could ensure every single student left yesterday with a food hamper full of festive goodies.. Huge thanks also to the Family Support Team who collected them and wrote cards🎄

River Dart students made the most of their Construction session over at Stansfield Academy yesterday morning - embedding functional numeracy and developing vocational skills to make a mitre-joint picture frame as part of their BTEC - such a lovely working group environment!
