This is our river, in all its glory, elegantly captured by @Josh_Jaggard. After years of fighting for clean water & better wild habitat with @N_Rivers_Trust it means alot to see this film @BBCSpringwatch
In this series of Springwatch, we have been inviting you to take a moment of mindfulness. Relax and relish some stunning sounds and pictures from cameraman @Josh_Jaggard local patch in Norfolk.

@wildernorfolk@clare_pinches Tons of sediment pouring into this area will become covered in algae in summer making wading birds really work for their food. Conservation needs to start in river headwaters. These precious coastal spots will depend on this.
Dear @Orsted@OrstedUK@VolkerFitzUK,
You have destroyed our river & all associated lakes. Please respond &
Please @EnvAgencyAnglia take the strongest actions possible to get this under control.
This is an ecological disaster. All our work over many years now undone.
This is the @riverglaven at Thornage Mill following mass soil loss to river from the @VolkerFitzUK@Orsted cable works. An ecological disaster. Spawning gravels now under >0.5 m of silt. Please stop this @EnvAgencyAnglia. I used to fish here as a little boy. I am broken by this.
No part of a River Glaven has been unaffected by the mass soil wash off event of last week @VolkerFitzUK@OrstedUK@Orsted. Any pictures of the Estuary anyone?
Any comment @OrstedUK@Orsted@VolkerFitzUK? An ecological disaster. We have surveyed every waterbody in this catchment & we will document the destruction you have caused
Selbrigg pond today after lots of sediment runoff from a nearby construction. This was nearly gin clear a few weeks ago when we were filming Pike. The river Glaven has also been hugely affected by this event. Dreadful to see.
@pokey_hole @carlsayerUCL No. As can see from pics of all downstream Glaven lakes no stillwater of any size can make any difference to events such as this alas.
The results of last nights torrential rain. Our meadow now has a blanket of silt and goodness knows what from the fields, roads and Holt Sewage Works. We work hard to manage this meadow โน๏ธ๐ฆ๐๐ท๏ธ๐ฆ๐๐ฆ๐ฑ๐ผ @AnglianWater@N_Rivers_Trust@RiverGlaven@GlavenEel
1/2: The River Glaven is being destroyed by sediment runoff from the @VolkerFitzUK@OrstedUK@Orsted cable works. The river, its flood meadows & lakes are all smothered in soil from last Tuesday. We don't expect our rare white-clawed crayfish to have survived @EnvAgencyAnglia
The formerly wonderful, near pristine Selbrigg Pond @RiverGlaven today after a big sediment runoff event associated with the @VolkerFitzUK@Orsted@OrstedUK works last week. The great loves of my life are being destroyed. This lake will take a long time to recover. ANSWERS?
