I’m dating myself here. When I was a teenager, my hand held entertainment was a radio that contained a total of nine transistors. Today a typical teenager’s iPhone 15 contains nineteen billion transistors.

Think about that. Technology is frightening and it’s going to be worse.

At this stage in our lives, we probably will never need to be financed to build up that coveted credit score. As I said earlier in this thread, it’s common sense and financial discipline.

@cfishman @discovercard 3/I discovered that it was actually my lack of a track record in making ongoing payments. We paid cash when we bought vehicles. The last house mortgage payment we made was in 1991.

Looking at our situation, I could see that the credit score is solely based on monthly ongoing…

The evaporation savings would be negligible. The infrastructure costs enormous. Don’t get me started on O&M costs.
