Our compost compound was steamy yesterday🔥Turning the pile keeps microorganisms thriving and creates anaerobic conditions where temps can reach 135–160°F, which is hot enough to neutralize pathogens. We're so proud to be the first compost facility of its kind in an NYC park!

Yesterday was our annual bee egg count🐝Our team collected bee house tubes from across the park & checked them carefully to make sure they’re healthy & parasite-free. 181 healthy cocoons will be reintroduced to Riverside Park this spring to support our park's ecosystem!
