This inspired me to finally start writing on my own. I've always had interest, I just never thought to start putting pen to paper, and now I've started on a short story set in an elf-centric fantasy world that I've been thinking about, with the focus being on Lavendel,
I have written seven universes.
Each has well over 130+ characters, its' own norms, setting, customs, people, races, species, world, etc. etc.
They are what I have poured my soul into. They are the ink that has flowed from my veins, and the madness that has escaped my mind.
I will never share these with a living soul. I will never let eyes see what happened at The Battle of Kriart. I will never explain why the Duchess of Phonri took Prince Reyer as her husband. I will never show someone the three moons visible only during the winter solstice, as the Empire of Varain celebrates their gods' birth. The world will never wonder at the molding of Sootir, and his siblings. No eyes will ever comb over the desolate wastes left by Rägnæ, in its' conquest of the Northern Realms.
These places, these worlds, these people, these customs, these things, they are for me. I wrote them, because they came from me, because they deserved to live. Those worlds deserved the ink to stain their lives into being. They did not deserve to fade with some bygone moment, replaced with a task of mundanity, of which I could mentally note thousands of.
Who are you to tell me that I have no right to the pen? That any of this, any of what I write publicly, is of no consequence?
I can answer for you.
You are nobody.
I have cast traitorous villains, backstabbing vermin, and turncoats with more backbone than you and your vile drivel. To say that a writer, who is willing to share their work, is undeserving of it? Even if what they share is only a fraction of their career, I will rejoice with them. I will smile, I will weep, and I will appreciate the strength needed to step forward with the inkwell of their being.
Fan-fiction is meant for those who find enjoyment of something already existing. It is not meant for the likes of you, nor is the creative step as a whole.
You are undeserving of even the most base of consideration. Your logic damns the Sistine Chapel, it breaks beneath the understanding of any fantasy work after Tolkien, and fails in the face of any science-fiction after Orson Welles narrated The War Of The Worlds.
To be so utterly destitute of joy, and imagination, I wish I could say I pity you. I, unfortunately, hate you. I have seen your kind for years, skulking with the literary sphere. You feed on the carcass of generations past, all rotting meat and congealed blood, while condemning any future writer between breaths and bites. The slobber that runs from the sickening morass is thrown as spittle, landing in a grotesque manner across any who might dare dream. It is all you can do, and it is all you have ever known.
I am tired of apathy, and of compassion.
Your kind, your mentally deficient hordes, no longer have sway. We no longer want approval, nor do we require it. Now it is you who must enter the lions' den, with naught but sand and fist. We are all making our own stories, our own versions, and our own parallel structure.
We have learned our lesson. That is why you flail so miserably, in a vain attempt to grasp some form of legitimate grievance. You are, on some level, aware of what that lesson was.
Your kind will not be welcome in what we build.
That is why you are so terrified.
@DivinaCalamis As for my apologizing, that is just a habit of mine. Politeness above all else, because I don't like to offend in contexts where offending is just unfair. I'm also, as stated in previous conversations, incredibly autistic, so that's always to dictate how I speak in any context
@DivinaCalamis Noted. Perhaps I was viewing your grievances through too modern of a lense. Often times, when I see complaints about the dating world, I see them coming from men who are struggling to garner interest from women, because of hookup culture and shallowness, and so on and so forth-
@DivinaCalamis Such as it is. I'm sure that I sit at some kind of similar level with similar issues, I just know that this sort of personality with these sorts of interest would garner quite a bit of interest from some decent men. I wasn't trying to make any assumptions about your life, I was-
@DivinaCalamis Ellia, this isn't in any way a pass at you, but I'm genuinely baffled to hear your struggles in finding a man, when you're this into shit like 40k and high fantasy and such. Best wishes, RiverStar
@_WCS_ The funniest part of all this is that it's really not that inherently political of a trend, nor is it that right-leaning, it's just been given the best surface level gatekeeping necessary to keep the truly annoying leftist types out of it. It's beautifully simple, really
People who use AI regularly massively overestimate how much everyone else uses it. They’re always so smug with the “if you hate AI, I hope you’re not using it to reply to your emails” argument. And I’m always like, yeah… I’m not. That’s exactly the point!
@popcorngobbler I've actively decided to start choosing some of the options that are more realistic and sit somewhere in the middle of the nice-to-mean ratio
@popcorngobbler I have this issue where, whenever I do a playthrough of Cyberpunk, I choose all the nicest, most agreeable dialogue options whenever talking to Johnny, because I like him too damn much to ever choose the more insulting options. On my current playthrough,

- Consumers have spoken and the majority don't like AI. We are fighting.
- Artists work has gone up in value. People will pay for real human artwork over AI.
- The most greedy companies are bailing out of AI as we speak
- AI bros will support AI but not pay for AI.
- AI is not the future they are trying to make us believe it is. Stay hopeful and keep fighting! ❤️
