@RN_Freda Oh I was always a big fan of lists back when I worked on the wards .. especially on nights .. I'd only write key things I'd need to go back to o/n like any turns, CDs, oxygen, any scoring NEWS, IVs, NIV settings -so it could be like .. bed 16 IPAP EPAP settings IV cef&met oxynorm
@Molly2323232323@ChrissiG13@DrLukeCraddock@wesstreeting They are regulated by the NMC.
They are nurses so they are regulated by the nursing council.
I really don't get what you're trying to argue here & why you're trying to argue they don't follow the same regs & rules as other RNS & from earlier posts I think @ChrissiG13 feels same
@jabberwock951 as had 1st in hosp and "managed" without any pain relief etc so I was determined with 2nd .... anyway .. his heartrate slowed so I had bluelighted ๐ to the main hospital site ... and then later on cord snapped! .. all ok in the emd and no medical intervention needed .. but yeh!
@jabberwock951 I absolutely do not want anymore children but if I did I'd be hospital all the way regardless. ANYTHING can happen during childbirth .. I would much rather be close to a medical team .. I had a fairly textbook pregnancy with 2nd so planned MW led unit (OH wasn't keen on home)
@RN_Freda my own birthday .. but haven't managed that for the last 2 years, January for reset after Christmas and also because its my anniversary and then jan-march (eldest/husband bdays) .. doesnt always work but January and spring/summer are my priorities
@RN_Freda I like to try and book off at least a week each season. Doesn't always work as sometimes we have plans that mean some seasons need more - eg. weddings & summer holidays. Usually I like having time off in summer July-Sept, a week in Oct (youngest's bday & 1/2 term), Dec for
@fillefoux Absolutely. I intially started going to church just for the community when my kids were small .. found God along the way & carried on going .. but then started to feel like I'd been "masking" & didn't feel like I belonged as much as I used to (AuDHD kids) so not been in years
@ishsulin I'm sure it's part of the newer curriculum .. some student's I've mentored have to get it signed off .. saying that though I'm not sure competencies are still covered once qualified as may still have to do inhouse study .. I only learnt V&C as NQ but never use as being left hand
@mimigk1492 communicating with the patient and loved ones about likes and dislikes. patient preferences and ensuring individuality. .. I mean if a patient has favourite music or clothing .. I'm listening and facilitating that if possible
@NRN_Freda I always used to put Staff Nurse Manning. Or right now Sr Manning. Often I'll add intial if I'm writing about anyone else eg. "informed by SN F. surname. Notified Dr A. Name and Sr B. Name in charge of unit of XYZ"
@RN_Abigail and there's my sister swanning around in a mazda convertible with 2 kids ๐
They are 14 and 6 though .. but youngest still requires a car seat
@alisonleary1@PaedsNurseGem I only know it means NQN awaiting pin as some of my colleagues badge said that .. and some of them I qualified with still have the same badge .. 7yrs on .. don't understand why some got that & some of us got "staff nurse" straight away
