It made me realize how fragile life is. A simple 'I reached safely' text isn't just a minor habit it's the only way the people who care about us know we survive the journey. Don't take that communication for granted. Always text when you get home.
We usually take the same road home, but yesterday he took a left, and I went straight. I made it back, sent my usual 'im home text and waited. The silence that followed was broken not by a reply, but by a picture from another friend showing the aftermath of an accident.
A little bit of magic from the best people I know. New jewellery, a stack of my favorite stories, and some much-needed motivation in a handwritten note. My heart, and my bookshelf is so full. Thank you for being the absolute best!
You don’t just mourn the loss of love; you grieve the death of your self-worth, drowning in a sea of self-doubt that feels inescapable. It’s easier to mend a broken heart than to rebuild broken trust. One leaves
scars; the other leaves doubts.
As the writer Anaïs Nin once said, “We do not see things as they are, we see them as we are.”
But emotional betrayal? That’s a different beast. It haunts you. It’s a relentless echo that makes you question everything about yourself. Was I not enough? Did I miss the signs?
@Adityac139 What this meant is when you give your brain real facts instead of just feelings, it stops overreacting. Emotions create stories like I'm bad at this, but evidence like past wins or proof activates logic. Logic calms emotions. So feeding evidence helps break that emotional spiral.
