Not to revive discourse but I think this is what Lara was trying to say with that “R&B lacks structure” comment, but Kelela actually knows how to express it in a respectful way to the genre.
Eles reclamando de barriga cheia, a primeira temporada ela teve momentos incríveis de telecinese, uma batalha SÓ dela, acabaram com o “não vou aguentar muito tempo” e fizeram a maior representação de telepatia de todas.
This might be a hot take but I feel like X-Men97 shouldn’t shy away that it’s Betsy in Kwannon’s body, it should be framed as a harrowing and very traumatic situation of her
Instead of just doing a “it may or may not be Betsy” just approach the topic head on
Like for the people who just want this to be Kwannon, tell me what does she benefit from this?
If all her characteristics, attitude and stories belong to Betsy but just now with a different name, how does Kwannon gain agency once more as a character?
@eternalsaith Did they tell you that they are friends? They are co workers but they basically never interact, don't evolve in the same circle and barely share people in their life.
ppl should actually go back and revisit all of Chloe’s music, ppl were too caught up in policing her sexuality to appreciate how much good food she was feeding us.
Instead of valuing her knowledgeable input on the reality of rnb as a genre and its expansiveness yall are using these words to attack another black artists for no reason when kelela has never directly shaded her…
