@WhodatBo1y@SamuelSilvaJr@NicHulscher It's who "they" are that's the distinction, and "they" were different in both instances. J6ers were arrested for breaking laws and being a danger to public safety. Trump pardoned them for their loyalty. One act motivated by justice, the other by ideology.
@TechTomb_HQ@SamuelSilvaJr@NicHulscher Sure, in the afterlife, if you believe in that. But while we're alive, humanity needs to sort itself out. That's what laws are for, and it's the kind of justice that requires the most rigorous, daily attention and participation from everyone, religious or not.
@ronsterd89 1983. Everyone like "wood paneling, gotta be the 70s!" My family had basements like this into the 90s. My grandmother had a phone almost exactly like this until the 00s. Style didn't change in the 20th century as quickly or as widely as it does now.
@YouSmooth35@G3TH_@HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN And not just in the context of Kojima or MGS, a significant portion of the most vocal gamers online are transphobic, homophobic, racist and bigoted. Hopefully it doesn't reflect the majority of all gamers, but this is reflected in every major social media platform.
@G3TH_@HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN A very vocal sect of gamers are transphobic, homophobic, racist and bigoted. They hate anything woke, but to them, the very inclusion of anything non-white, non-straight, or non-male in the foreground is considered woke propaganda.
@Alric_strife01@sw_holocron You're right that that's how he kind of views himself and how he behaves, but he's had a habit of doing extraordinary things. His reputation must have grown.
@Variety But PLEASE, no more prequels. I'm definitely not paying to see another "look look look! This is how it all started! And look, Ethan Hunt was such a goober. But he'll overcome all that in the third act. Plus, don't miss all the fan service Easter eggs leading up to it."
@Ineffable01@Variety The idea is getting everyone to buy tickets, fans and casual spectators alike. MCU isn't as much about the actors playing the characters as the characters themselves. Tom Cruise IS Mission Impossible. They got their work cut out for them! Just, please, no prequels.
@TiffanyLuv24 @Variety You guys are saying it's inaccurate but he said not a lot of actors can pull that off, not that no one else has. As an actor he probably knows the talent pool is enormous. A-list, mega famous actors are only the tip of the iceberg, they're just the only ones most people know.
@sw_holocron What I like about it is it's so different from any other SW story that it could work. It wouldn't be trying to outdo the scope of Andor and would draw more comparisons to "smaller", darker stories like Silence of the Lambs and perhaps Inglorious Basterds.
@DenisVfilms There's something dry about 2049. The cinematography, acting, direction, visual design, all incredible. But the main character being Dekhard's escape driver and ultimately not that important felt like a missed opportunity. Shoulda been Dekhard's son.
