Do not think anyone would allow themselves to go blind and not get prescribed glasses. Why do we do this with mental health? Take medications by a licensed professional if not thinking, acting or feeling properly. Why are we turning a blind eye towards our mind?

When patients are hurt often they become tunnel vision trying to not be hurt. They ignore everyone. They become self absorbed and selfish in the pursuit of "not being hurt". Leading to avoidance and worsening of problems. As this hurts good relationships. Negativity remains.

The last and most important thing I would teach my son is to listen to your partner. Including NO means NO.

Boys also need to be taught communication and expression are the key to any relationship. If we do not express we suffer so much and our counterparts deserve to have someone who can clearly emote and not avoid feelings
