One month later, and Alberta is still on a roll. Out of the 27 confirmed tornadoes so far, seven have been significant (≥ EF-2), which is now the most on record in a season. The previous record was six in 2019.

With six new tornadoes confirmed from June 15, Alberta is now sitting at 19 tornadoes in 2026, well above the climatological average for this point in the year as we approach peak season in July.
