When a dangerous snake enters the village, that’s not the time to have a conversation about the future. The priority is to first get rid of the snake before it kills everyone!
I've heard Prof Ndungu's views on Ruto overrunning government institutions. I experienced it firsthand when I was the Chair of IPOA while he was the Deputy President. He called me early one morning, threatening that if IPOA didn't comply, he and Uhuru would treat us as they did the opposition. I told him to proceed. I don't understand why people in institutions fear a single man just because he's President ,but he's not God. We're all mortal. As the Romans would say 'Memento mori'
Now Ruto wants you to be part of a “national conversation.” He wants public participation. He wants to hear from you.😂😂
He even said young people will be at the centre of this conversation. Which young people? The ones your administration killed? The ones you and your Interior CS were ready to shoot in the legs? The ones who can’t even freely tell you where you’re going wrong because they’re afraid of being abducted?
Funny how quickly things change. During the height of the 2024 Finance Bill protests, the very people he now wants to engage were also dismissed as criminals. Today, we’re suddenly important enough to be consulted. The irony is impossible to miss. All over sudden Ruto has realized you the people have the POWER🙌🏾
Yesterday’s speech told us everything we needed to know. This man has no plan.
Just fake strength, teleprompters and A million lies🚶🏿♀️WANTAM!!
Former Treasury CS Njuguna Ndung’u has confirmed what Kenyans already know. Ruto has reduced state institutions into frightened departments that obey him without question.
Ruto’s Special National Address felt so random and forced. You listen carefully, waiting for substance, but there’s no depth, no value, no direction. Just a lot of words that amount to nothing. Pure nonsense
It almost feels like this administration needed something to dominate the headlines because the numbers are down. Total waste of time
Fellow citizens…WANTAM!
Ruto just spent 40 minutes trying to create a false equivalence between our national values set out in the constitution and his so called “development”. Kenyans, please trust me when i tell you there is a reason the Preamble comes before Article 43. You don’t get to the “development “ clauses until and unless you have taken into account the reasons we passed this constitution in the first place. Democracy, Human Rights, Freedom, Equality, Rule of Law and Social Justice.
Edwin Sifuna has not stolen from the public or at all. He has led an honest and modest but illustrious and successful life and career as an Advocate and leader. In fact, his simple house is indicative of the degree and height of his accountability and integrity. He is the model leader.
