I want to share a new book, Power to the Public, that illustrates how nonprofits and governments can use technology to solve some of the most pressing issues of our time. It includes some good examples and is worth a read for anyone who cares about making change happen.
John Snow should have a huge, Trafalgar-size statue everywhere, just to underscore the importance of public health interventions. We overfund clinical health over public health, and maybe Snow statues (or Jenner statues) could remind us where we get the most bang for the buck.
Over 8 million jobs that existed a year ago are yet to return. The #AmericanJobsPlan will invest:

This will result in millions of jobs and strengthen our infrastructure.

Today, @SecCardona announced the Summer Learning & Enrichment Collaborative. This will build capacity for states and school districts to allocate ARP resources to implement evidence-based summer learning strategies that meet the needs of all students.

The American Rescue Plan is going to drastically change how our country deals with this pandemic including allocating funds that states will receive under the ARP Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund, totaling $122B in relief for K-12 schools.
