@profontheright she died of oesophageal cancer. 40 years on, a number of her descendants are coeliac. the first one to be diagnosed was also labelled‘hysterical’ by doctors. so here’s a suggestion: perhaps the statistics reflect improvements in medicine??? 2/
@profontheright sometimes they weren’t diagnosed: my grandmother had chronic stomach pain most of her life, was told she was ‘hysterical’ and her kids were ‘lazy’ and should help her more 1/
Congratulations to @dominikajkrol from @teagasc and @tonyvdweerden from @AGRIRESEARCHLtd who have been awarded €1,495,952.35 to refine agricultural greenhouse gas (#GHG) emissions inventories through the development of emission factors for nitrous oxide and carbon.
It's fair to say our Agricultural Greenhouse Gas Inventory Development Team was a little taken aback when they were announced winners of the Supreme Award at the @science_nz Awards this week - see video below (apologies for variable quality). More info at: https://t.co/tE26dvohER
@bbmharrison That was a good story but the punch line needs work. PS how do you know it was an angry msg if you could not read it? was she scowling as she wrote?? #AskingForAFriend
Our research in the climate change/greenhouse gas space has netted us the Supreme Award in the @science_nz Awards for a second consecutive year - with our Agricultural Greenhouse Gas Inventory Development Team being honoured at tonight's awards dinner 👏🏆.... /3
