Yesterday, after 41 ½ years of service FDNY Lieutenant Jack Meara worked his last tour at Engine 46 in the Bronx. Lt. Meara began his career as a Firefighter at Engine 67 in Manhattan, and has spent the last 27 years as a Lieutenant at Engine 46.

Lt. Jack Meara's last tour was today after 41.5 years. Appointed January 1982, assigned to Eng67. Promoted to Lieutenant in August 1995 & assigned to Eng46 in April 1996, where he served the Cross Bronx Express for the past 27 years. Great job Jack. Enjoy retirement!
