Ryan Hofer

SmallTime Central AB Farmer/Pork Producer,

[Ryan Hofer @RMH_93]

@pemarchand As a producer I am pretty disappointed with this current hog/pork market especially in the face of record cattle/beef market. Is pork really worth 4 times less then beef?

[Ryan Hofer @RMH_93]

@pemarchand That's the most bearish he has been about the hog/pork market in years.

@chrsvnbk Its about time 🚀

[Ryan Hofer @RMH_93]

@ckleene It pencils absolutely 💯. But why pay that if you don't have to?? Something has to be driving these prices. Supply??

[Ryan Hofer @RMH_93]

@AgriTrends @pemarchand Please enlighten us!

[Ryan Hofer @RMH_93]

@gavin_spoor Imo, because most people don't know how to cook pork properly.

[Ryan Hofer @RMH_93]

@brock_bullerman I guess that would be very dependent on weather. We are just getting our first heat wave up here in Western Canada.

@pemarchand Daily load count seems high 🤔

[Ryan Hofer @RMH_93]

@pemarchand Imo it was a year ago.

[Ryan Hofer @RMH_93]

@GGunthorp Do you charge a flat rate per head, or by the lb?

[Brock Bullerman @brock_bullerman]

Pork is tight hams are going to absolutely rip and I wouldn’t be surprised to see the cutout trade above 120 by the end of June!

@N5Pennies Let it ride!!
