How to play:
Initials are offered with no context. All players get one guess. Sportsmanship dictates using names from the sports world. Correct guesses are rare, but magical. Nostalgia encouraged.
Rules:
1) No tight ends allowed (except on national holidays)
2) No other rules
Some great guesses on this one! Unfortunately, nobody left the ballpark. Correct answer: St. Louis Cardinals great, Joe "Ducky" Medwick. Medwick is the last NL player to win the triple crown (1937). Do yourself a favor and google Medwick's 1937 stats!

@easyresearcher@Cubs Yes, very sad. Minor league baseball has been on a steady decline in Eugene. The Emeralds used to play at a beautiful old stadium in the middle of town, but the stadium burned down in 2015. Sigh.
@_SpencerStanley That's tough, though. Basically the only rules are no tight ends except on Fed holidays, and the person has to be affiliated with the sports world.
What explains the pause from everyone's favorite sports initials game, you're wondering? The truth is we had to fend off multiple hostile takeover attempts from corporate competitors - seems not everyone is thrilled by our growing popularity. But we're back, and we missed you. 1/
