@LauraMiti How can they speak about politics? They are fully aware their terrible record on governance is still fresh on the minds of Zambian voters (the ones who were not PF aligned are already with HH)!
@FMwenge Low salaries. So, it’s not sustainable for banks to recover their money within 20-30 years - the market is risky. And also it’s a difficult market- culture of debt default is rampant (sitilipila nkongole) - hence DBZ, Lima bank etc
@Mumba_23@kangombe_Chris The power deficit is temporary (not there 2022/2023 and could be mitigated by imports from Mozambic): is it worth losing the lucrative long term contract for less lucrative domestic mkt when ZESCO is heavily in debt (nearly $2b in 2021).
@SimumbaTrevor Honest Introspection? Trevor what took 10 years to destroy can’t be fixed in 3 years but then add a drought Zambia has never had in 100 years. Even the drying up of our rivers is due to PF failure to stop deforestation. The impact will be felt for years.
BREAKING: Corrupt Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas gets devastating news as Former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe explains how the government could prosecute him for his countless crimes.
This is MAGA's worst nightmare...
"What they need to open an investigation is information that a federal crime has been committed," McCabe said during a podcast conversation with legal analyst Allison Gill.
"There's no law or policy that prevents DOJ from doing that," he continued. "In fact, they are tasked with investigating and prosecuting violations of federal law. This could easily be that. So, it would fall well within their authority to do it, but it would be very, very, very controversial."
The two were discussing the FBI's standards for opening a case as it relates to the shocking revelation that Thomas has been accepting bribes for years in the form of luxury trips, sweetheart loans, and gifts worth millions in total from wealthy Republicans.
Gill pointed out that the FBI should be able to investigate any branch of government. Since they have no problem investigating members of Congress, they should be able to probe the court as well.
The two discussed the "loan" that Thomas received for a luxury RV that was then forgiven, amounting to an out-and-out gift. As Gill explains, Thomas would have owed taxes on the gift and if he failed to pay them it "could be a violation of the law."
"So, the tax case is both good and bad," said McCabe. "It's a little bit tough to work through the hypothetical because of the IRS's investigative jurisdiction, which is actually statutory in nature."
McCabe said that if information emerges that Thomas received the bribe “in return for making a particular judgment or taking an official act on behalf of the person who gave him money" then the FBI "would have the information necessary to meet that low threshold of having information that violates federal or criminal law has occurred or will occur."
Clearly, a full investigation is necessary. Thomas is selling our democracy out for pennies on the dollar and making a mockery of all of us. It's high time that he was investigated, prosecuted, and held accountable for his crimes.

I’m a 22 year old kid from Atlanta Georgia who became passionate about politics when I was 16.
I met Joe Biden and the First Lady today in my home state of Georgia. I looked at the President and said,
“Sir, I just make TikTok videos online”
He looked at me, shook my hand, and said:
“Never underestimate the power you have.”
I said “thank you so much sir”
He said, “No, I’m serious.”
Paused, looked me in the eyes, and said
“Thank you for being a voice. I mean it.”
Chills. Absolute chills. 4 more years!
BREAKING: Republicans enter panic mode as a new CNN poll reveals that 60% of Americans who watched his State of the Union address had a positive reaction — while 35% of them reacted "very positively."
In these hyper-polarized times, that's astonishing...
But it gets even better. According to the same poll, 62% of Americans who watched the speech believe that the policies Biden proposed will move American forward. 38%, which largely means the MAGA Base, disagreed.
Before the speech, only 45% of people polled supported Biden's policies. The address was a stunning success and has clearly had a huge impact on Biden's popularity.
60% of Americans polled now have confidence that Biden can protect American democracy. 59% have confidence in his overall ability to carry out his presidential duties.
Crucially, the State of the Union was a resounding success with independents. Before the speech, only 51% expressed some confidence in Biden's abilities to carry out his duties. After the speech, that number shot up to 68%.
If these people vote for Biden in November, he'll win in a landslide.

Wishing His Majesty a full and speedy recovery.
I have no doubt he’ll be back to full strength in no time and I know the whole country will be wishing him well.
@NsteedK @RabsonTembo17 @muyaa_mbango Nothing wrong with what you have outlined BUT the question remains: What is your solution? What stops you from implementing it?
Meanwhile, presently the copper (emeralds, sugilite, gold etc) underground has “no value” - until extracted…
