Happy to share our new paper "TRMT10A dysfunction perturbs codon translation of initiator methionine and glutamine and impairs brain functions in mice" published from Nucleic Acids Research @NAR_Open.
I thank the collaborators. Congratulations, Roland!

New paper is out! We found that information about gravitational and mechanical forces is relayed to mitochondria and ultimately enhances translation inside the organelle.

Visited Kumamoto University for a seminar. Many thanks to Prof. Tomizawa and Dr. Chujo, @RNAbiker for the invitation. I truly enjoye the opportunity to share and discuss science—it was a great time.
@RnaLaboratory Thank you so very much for coming to Kumamoto and sharing your deep, molecular studies! It was so nice to discuss about the latest findings also after the seminar during enjoying Kumamoto cuisines.
Glad to report @embojournal that dysfunction of a tRNA modification enzyme CDKAL1 impairs lysine codon translation in podocytes and accelerates chronic kidney disease. The first direct proof of kidney tRNA modopathy. Congrats, Nagata- & Nagayoshi-sensei!

20th anniversary party of Tetsuro Hirose lab, to which I previously belonged to as a postdoc. One thing very nice about science is that we have more and more friends as we get older.
Glad that I made it to the finish line in the Kumamoto Castle Marathon 2026.
I am glad that I was able to push myself again after an 8-year blank in exercising.
