@grimoireghostie@rjluis21@ferald_gord Funny part about this tweet is the proposal doesn’t even cover property taxes for million $ properties. The exception is just up to 500k proposed
@grimoireghostie@rjluis21@ferald_gord It absolutely is. Renting is a similar cost to a mortgage rn that includes property taxes. SFH tenants would buy a house if they were immune to property taxes taxes and their mortgage would be ~1000$ less than rent.
I bought in 2020. Sue me.
@grimoireghostie@rjluis21@ferald_gord A primary house should not be a boomer luxury is the entire point. I’m young and this makes my house affordable to almost everyone in my city here, that actually lives here as their home. It’s actually a FU to the landlord class. It’d lower my mortgage from 2700 to 1700.
@grimoireghostie@rjluis21@ferald_gord Why would you mention people that have multiple homes? People can only homestead 1… and then on the others they’d have property tax. The common people of Florida that only own the house they live in will pay 0. It’s a great proposal.
@0xtreysync@RealInquisitive@Polymarket A 350k house is around 2800$ right now a month with property taxes and insurance in Florida. This will lower it to 2000$ a month. This makes it way easier to buy if it’s going to be your primary house. Lenders look at your monthly expenses, and ask what payment you can afford.
@Bencera@StripSlashes@7bridgesK Well, your entire company is an open AI wrapper. And your marketing is very misleading because it doesn’t do any of the things you promise autonomously. I hope there’s lawsuits one day against these startup grifters.
@chaiincoffeecup@preme2323@michael_mzl Almost all computer “pioneers” attended elite colleges, that they were able to get into because they were extremely high IQ.
@chaiincoffeecup@michael_mzl The average SAT score is near perfect for an Ivy League school. I’ve worked with some retarded ones too but they’re on average 2 standard deviations smarter than an average college grad.
@chaiincoffeecup@michael_mzl Doesn’t mean at least a portion of the devs laid off don’t have cracked resumes. I mean in the mix there’s Ivy League, Stanford, Berkeley etc devs with high IQs, and a good work history.
@CurseOfBambino@georgeregnery@Dispropoganda Assed value is the root of how “towns” (for my house it’s a big county with a city in it) get away with it. They claim they are still only charging me 1.2% property tax rate but they’ve assed my house at 50% higher than I paid for it.
