This 118-year-old photograph really is rather magical, looking just as much like an oil painting as it does a photograph. I love the soft, golden quality of the light in it. It is an autochrome taken by Carl Kühn in 1907 and depicts 3 of his children: Lotte, Hans & Walter, playing with their toy boat. It captures the memory of childhood perfectly.
