Jilted migrant boyfriend Adedapo Adegbola, 40, jailed for life with 25-year minimum after stabbing bright psychology student, 23, on her doorstep

Adedapo Adegbola admitted murdering Stephanie Irons in October by stabbing her in the neck with a knife he'd bought days earlier, unable to accept her ending their brief relationship over his controlling behaviour.

He lay in wait at her flat, attacked as she took out bins, then spent nearly two hours inside her home sending sexually explicit messages from her phone to humiliate her posthumously.

The judge branded it a profound devastation to her family, who called the compassionate aspiring psychologist their "world" and best friend, with her mother now trapped in "a prison of loss".
