On the 7-8th of September, pack a sandwich and sharpen your knives for #RoachWeekend, a new OFMD event dedicated to fanworks about our favourite pirate chef!
Since we have so much new information about his character now, it only makes sense!

That concludes #RoachWeekend in every timezone!

Thank you to everybody who posted, it was so lovely seeing the TL full of our favourite chaotic pirate cook and now we have some brand new recipes to try as well!

Soup for Roach, a little children's story that Irene @neo__pessimist and I came up with as we wind up #RoachWeekend. Hopefully this brings some tender and warm soup vibes to your day!
Click through the thread to enjoy the tale (and the cutest little guys ever!)

I start to argue with the haters then I go "hey, bud. Stop. Think about Roach." And then I think about Roach for exactly nine minutes while breathing evenly. And then I do not see the haters

It also feels sort of working class solidarity with Roach. Like, even if he don’t fuck with you, you’re gunna eat, because everyone has to eat. And it’s his job to cook. Its dutiful and nurturing in a By Any Means Necessary sort of way

I love that Roach made food for crew being exiled. Its charming, kind, loving, & compassionate. It‘s one of my favorite of the “showing” parts to what the audience is told: Pirates are sweet guys with trauma who just need some safety to share the tender parts of themselves.

Here's a recipe for #RoachWeekend
This homemade Sriracha recipe has been saving me these last few years. It's super easy to make and tastes just like the real thing!
(If you don't have these type of peppers, just use any spicy peppers)

A little rest in a hammock in the shade of palm trees, enjoying the hibiscus flowers and visiting iconic places. Ah, this is a good life! 🏝🌺

@RoachWeekend He loves resupplying in bigger ports with big markets because 1) they have more selection and 2) he can find other amazigh to speak tamazight with and some uncles to shoot the shit with.
