Sometimes I wonder: what are we doing?

I’m a person. I’m human, just like everyone else. And I pay taxes year after year. For that, I seem to serve very well. I contribute to the government every single year.

For the past 14 years, I’ve paid a lot in taxes working as a doctor — but somehow, my rights are not the same.

It’s very easy to take from someone. But giving something back and doing what is right always seems impossible.

There are too many interests involved in keeping people useful when convenient, instead of treating them equally.
