@JimCosta_ I still remember the moment it was announced that the prodigal son was coming home. So much excitement. In the back of my mind I worried about legacy questions if he failed, but then convinced myself that wasn't possible.
Sigh.
@dweiner1984@Justin_Rogers After more thought, I think it was the rookie contract (with the 5th year option) that was the real attraction here, not the position. Ascending elite talent with 3 cheap years left at a premium position.
Lions don't have that to trade...
@JimCosta_ - I'm a homer, so whatever the Lions do, I'll find a way to justify internally
- if they had made this trade, I'd be excited for the possibilities and sad at losing whoever we gave up
- judging a decision by results is the worst way to judge a decision
@DetroitOnLion You could double your yearly price for PODD and it would still be a steal.
That's not meant to be a solution, just validating that you do (and lead) incredibly valuable work and hopefully your sub numbers reflect that. 🫡 Your Subscribers certainly recognize it!
@PSchrags@KevinSoboa@Lions Please don't stop sharing stuff like this. This is the kind of unique, delightful stuff that should be shared and celebrated, and you've got a fantastic platform for that. Keep up the good work 🫡
@DetroitOnLion You are being very negative towards negativity.
...
Ok I think I'm funny. That's all that matters. I heard a smart person once say "it's chaos, be kind." Good words to live by!
@colton_pouncy@sweta2311 Fun read. Well done
The fact that no news ever leaks from that building is such a cool testament to the organizational trust and buy in from top to bottom. Mad respect for the leadership there.
I have been a Lions season ticket holder since 2018 and tweeting since last ten years about them. Today was absolutely wild. I am so thankful for the team who loves their fans as much as the fans love them.

@PrideOfDetroit The Germany travel is being wildly overblown as a massive negative for the Lions. This is not a big deal. It's barely a small deal.
Unequivocally YES, they made the right decision.
Traveling west across time zones (and only 6 hours to boot) will have virtually no effect on recovery and preparation time for Tampa Bay, which will be on a normal 7 day week rhythm.
This perceived competitive imbalance is being massively overblown.
Love the banter on @PrideOfDetroit pod - mostly the angst about the Germany game and bye weeks.
The more I hear people whine about the Lions getting screwed there, the more convinced I am of my opinion - the travel has a waaaay smaller effect than you're giving it credit for.
