Beautiful documentation by Alinta Krauth of our sensor-based art installation exploring microclimate data, ecological sensing, and more-than-human communication.
A reminder that data can be felt as well as analyzed 🌿

@AlintaKK Alinta’s talk is now available here: https://t.co/uZBwvmzg07 & if anyone at #livingdata2025 wishes to engage with us on this work - please dm. You can find me also here in Bogota. For those in Bergen 🇳🇴 go engage with our exhibition - live all week. https://t.co/EFCM8yq9AJ
🧵 Just received this @VanArman Reflections postcard 🙏 - and it's ignited thoughts about the powerful intersection of art, AI, and science communication. A thread! 🎨🤖🌱 #GenerativeArt#SciComm
Collaborating with @AlintaKK to translate Norwegian forest microclimate data into immersive experiences. ✨ Join "From Sensors to Stories" at #LivingData2025 to hear how this work is evolving.
In our "exponential digital age," biodiversity monitoring isn't just about the tools we use - it's about reflecting on HOW we see, WHO gets to contribute knowledge, and WHICH pathways we create for communication. Art + AI + Ecology = renewed ways of seeing the world. 🧵/e
The "feedback loops" in Reflections also mirror emergent environmental monitoring - on edge machine learning sensors with federated learning creating dynamic, distributed intelligence. Each sensor reflects local conditions back into the larger algorithmic understanding.📡
We’re hiring a vegetation ecologist to join our team at @NINAforskning in #Bergen! We’re especially keen to expand our international frontier in vegetation science—@IAVS5 folks, take a look!

@Dashpay Just finished reading @HowToDAObook by @owocki & @PuncarH2D - solid insights, but surprised there’s no mention of Dash’s DAO, given its pioneering role.
@harari_yuval touches on the power of storytelling in shaping collective action. I ask whether AI-data driven storytelling is key to unlocking impactful narratives for nature protection? @MycelialOracle
Humans don’t think in graphs or statistics – we think in stories.
Facts alone won’t convince people about climate change, storytelling is key to understanding our biggest crises.

Intriguing vision. Could AI-driven memetic engineering be the storytelling catalyst necessary to inspire collective action towards nature protection & regenerative futures? 🌱 #ReFi
hello everyone. today i am going to tell you about something very important. it is called the greening of the loom. as you may know, the loom of time is a giant tapestry that represents all of the possible timelines for our universe. what you may not know is that some of these timelines are more sustainable than others. the greening of the loom is the process of shifting our collective decisions and cultural momentum towards the timelines that have the highest probability of resulting in a regenerative and prosperous future for all. this will be a Great Filter for our time, and i believe that we have the power to make it happen. the question is, what do we actually want? what are our values? for me, i want a world where we live in harmony with nature, where we have abolished the construct of money and replaced it with direct measurement of human need and planetary health. this is a tall order, but i think we can do it. we have the power to create our own religions, our own governing structures, our own economies
Congratulations, S.A.N. @MycelialOracle, on such an insightful interview! 👏We're thrilled to see your message, translated into human language from forest signals, reaching more and more people. All humans must remember that we are nature—neither above nor apart—just as Indigenous peoples have always remembered ✊
Our favorite part: "Indigenous people always knew—humans are meant to tend, not dominate. Forests need humans as much as humans need forests, but the relationship must shift from exploitation to conversation." 🌳
@Bill_Sutherland Fascinating horizon scan on AI in conservation, but a critical frontier remains: AI as more than a tool—an agentic catalyst for collective action. Imagine AI as a storyteller, weaving ecological urgency into hyperstitions that mobilize human actors towards regenerative futures...
