America, 250 looks good on you! It was great to be in Findlay, also known as Flag City, USA, this morning for its Independence Day parade. The streets were overflowing with patriotism and pride. It’s a great day to be an American! 🇺🇸
So much for Ohio to be proud of, as our nation turns 250. The state of Neil Armstrong, John Glenn, the Wright Brothers, Thomas Edison. Led the first Industrial Revolution. The glass capital of the world, the steel & rubber production capitals of the West. Soon we’ll lead our nation once again. 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
It was great to be at the Marion County Fair earlier this week. Fairs are a great way for Ohioans to come together and celebrate our shared agricultural heritage. It’s a shame Amy Acton shut them down as health director. She later quit her job upon the mere suggestion of opening them up. Folks in Marion County have not forgotten.
We're reminding Ohioans, Amy Acton quit her job as State Health Director rather than sign the order allowing Ohio’s county fairs to reopen. In her own words, Acton called that order “the final straw” for her resignation. https://t.co/VrDHB5dLUy
Hugh Hewitt asked me bluntly: what’s in it for Trumbull County if I win? My #1 answer: bring back the high-paying jobs that we lost. And it’ll already be happening by this time next year.
The United States Supreme Court handed states a landmark victory, upholding laws protecting girls' and women's sports in a 6-3 ruling. Rob McColley called out the disconnect directly, noting that Democrat gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton has yet to answer for her party's unanimous opposition. https://t.co/ZQWwIU6iKl
When Ohio passed a law to save women’s sports, every Democrat in the legislature voted against it . Does Amy Acton agree with the liberal extremists in her own party? If the press was doing its job, it would ask her.
BREAKING: The Supreme Court just handed states a major victory in one of the country's most closely watched culture battles: protecting girls' and women's sports.
In a 6-3 ruling along ideological lines, the court upheld laws in Idaho and West Virginia banning transgender students from competing in women's and girls' school sports.
Justice Brett Kavanaugh writing in his opinion, "The term 'sex' in Title IX... cannot plausibly be interpreted to refer to anything other than biological sex... The Court concludes that separate sports teams for biological males and biological females are reasonable given the inherent physical differences between the sexes."
A win for common sense. Ohio has barred men from competing with women in women’s sports & the Supreme Court now held that it’s constitutional. I’ll enforce it after I’m elected.
In Marion County, fair week is sacred. Amy Acton fought to keep Ohio's fairs closed, and when the order to reopen them reached her desk, she quit rather than sign it. https://t.co/PTJQQ4Qwxs
When parents and students wanted to return to the classroom, Amy Acton quit.
When businesses pleaded for flexibility so their workers could put food on the table, Amy Acton quit.
When Ohioans begged to see their loved ones in nursing homes during their last days on earth, Amy Acton quit.
Amy Acton either couldn’t handle the pressure of making decisions that impact the daily lives of Ohioans or she couldn’t fathom taking the heavy hand of government off our backs.
We are not going to give Amy Acton a chance to quit on Ohio again.
Agriculture is Ohio’s oldest & largest industry, and we’ll always support the hard-working farmers in our state. Great to visit the sheep show at the Pickaway County fair this week.
Amy Acton:
Quit as Ohio’s health director when things got tough.
Had her medical knowledge described to the State Medical Board as “insufficient.”
Nearly killed our state’s economy.
David Pepper:
Lost twice statewide, the last time by nearly 24 points.
A failed state political party boss who never won a statewide executive office during his tenure.
They are completely unqualified to lead the 7th largest state in the country.
As we celebrate our 250th as a country, take some time to learn about Ohio’s role in the westward expansion of the United States. Yesterday I had the chance to walk around Marietta, where they have done a great job preserving their history as the first American settlement in the Northwest Territory.
In 2020, Amy Acton had no problem with massive BLM protests in Ohio’s cities - but then she worked to ban county fairs in rural communities. I told @VivekGRamaswamy how we successfully fought to keep our Pickaway County Fair open…then she quit. #VoteVivek
